International Conference on Night Studies 2023

The International Conference on Night Studies focuses on academic research, artistic works and professional practices related to the study of urban nights.

The conference also provides a platform for attenders to:

• share ongoing or recent research,
• launch critical and interdisciplinary debate,
• broaden professional networks across academia and society.

The ICNS is a collaboration of the International Night Studies Network and LXNIGHTS Research Group. The conference also has institutional support from the Centre for Research and Studies in Sociology (not a secure link), Interdisciplinary Center of Social Sciences at NOVA University Lisbon and Institute of Sociology–University of Porto.

The fourth ICNS will be held at NOVA University Lisbon–Campolide Campus, Oct. 11 – 13, 2023. Programming will also be streamed online.
