A Sentence in Soil

DALLAS, TEXAS: In her second major US exhibition, Nasher Sculpture Center presents an installation of new work by Magali Reus. A Netherlands-born and London-based artist, the show runs through Sep. 11, 2022.

“A Sentence in Soil” demonstrates how simple, recognizable objects can generate a different chain of associations when they are dislocated from their original functions.

The Reus exhibit feels more compelling, even though this installation receives second billing to another exhibition . Regrettably, to catch any exhibition at night at the Nasher, the only opportunity is to attend a members’ opening event.

Perhaps you can start your evening at the Nasher and stay until it closes. Then, amble over to nearby bars and restaurants to build out the rest of your nighttime experience.
