OCEANSIDE, CALIFORNIA: One of San Diego County’s most accomplished chefs, William Eick, has opened Matsu. The exquisite-looking 48-seat restaurant focuses on the traditions and techniques of Japanese food fused with touches of Southern California.

Introduced in 2019 as a pop-up, Chef Eick designed and built the space he envisioned in Oceanside, California.

Guests of the restaurant are treated to a choice of multi-course tasting menus. Featured are the seasonal bounty from areas farms as well as exquisite product direct from Japan.

Located just 40 minutes north of San Diego, Matsu bills itself as Oceanside first fine-dining restaurant.
