Out-of-this-World Fun
CHICAGO, ILLINOIS: “It Came From Outer Space” was a 1953 science fiction horror film.
Rotten Tomatoes proclaims the movie to be “a pulpy-but-effective psychological sci-fi picture, with a provocative message about xenophobia.”
Perhaps its timely message about fear and hatred of foreigners is what has inspired a new musical comedy adapted from the cult classic.
We’re down.
Commissioned and developed by Chicago Shakespeare Theater, “It Came From Outer Space: A New Musical” runs Jun. 22-Jul. 24, 2022.
