Georgia O’Keeffe: To See Takes Time
[New York City, NY] Best known for her flower paintings, Georgia O’Keeffe also made extraordinary series of works in charcoal, pencil, watercolor and pastel.
“Georgia O’Keeffe: To See Takes Time” offers a rare glimpse of the artist’s working methods and invites us to take time to look.
This is the first exhibition to investigate the artist’s works on paper. It is also (remarkably) the first exhibition dedicated to O’Keefe at the Museum of Modern Art since 1946.
“To see takes time,” Georgia O’Keeffe once wrote. Indeed.
“Georgia O’Keeffe: To See Takes Time” will be on view at MoMA, Apr. 9–Aug. 12, 2023.
For nighttime advocates, MoMA is open until 7 p.m. on Saturdays. New York City residents may also enjoy the museum free from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. on the first Friday evening of every month.
#EveryMuseum in America could stay open late at least one night a month for those who cannot, or do not want to, visit by day.
