Iowa City Book Festival

For more than 80 years, Iowa City has been teaching the world to write.

It has even received the designation of UNESCO City of Literature.

From Sep. 28-Oct. 13, 2022, the City of Literature will present nearly two weeks of one-of-a-kind and free literary programming during the Iowa City Book Festival.

A majority of the author events take place in the evening, a cozy time to hear from writers like New York Times bestselling author Sarah Kendzior (“They Knew: How a Culture of Conspiracy Keeps America Complacent”) and the eleventh recipient of the Paul Engle Prize, Rebecca Solnit (“Waking Beauty”).
