Southern Decadence

With monkeypox and COVID an who-knows-what-else attacking the public health (not to mention our hateful political climate) we grimace a bit when thinking of this year’s Southern Decadence.

All we can add is get vaccinated, take great care and do not antagonize the MAGA.

What began in 1972 as an end-of-summer party among a small group of friends has transformed itself into a French Quarter-wide weekend LGBTQ bacchanalia.

Southern Decadence always falls over Labor Day weekend. There are events all week long, but this year the bulk of them fall from Thursday through Monday, Aug. 29-Sep. 2, 2022.
