Catching the Moment

ST. LOUIS, MISSOURI: “Catching the Moment” at the Saint Louis Art Museum highlights more than two hundred pieces from the collection of former St. Louis Cardinals catcher Ted Simmons and his wife, fine-art printer and publisher Maryanne Ellison Simmons.

On the heels of Ted’s induction into the National Baseball Hall of Fame, the couple will share a portion of their collection of more than eight hundred pieces of contemporary art, dating from the 1960s to the present, including relics of political, social, and art-historical moments.

One of the exhibition’s sponsors is, of course, the St. Louis Cardinals. Good on them.

“Catching the Moment” is on view from Jun. 26–Sep. 11, 2022.
