The Beach House
SEAL BEACH, CALIFORNIA: It’s not easy building a restaurant, particularly one on a California beach. The permitting process alone would deter amateurs.
“The Coastal Commission has confirmed that there’s not even a dozen restaurants in California resting on the sand,” restaurant partner Rosie Ritchie told “The Orange County Register.”
However, by September, 2022 what was River’s End Café near the jetty in Seal Beach, California will be transformed. The Beach House will be a 2,200-square foot restaurant with seating for 160 guests. Hatch Designs is doing the makeover.
“The Register” reports that “the restaurant will serve breakfast, lunch and dinner and the menu will include beachy items such as burgers and fries, and healthful choices, such as salads and vegan items. Get ready for chicken pot pie, beet salad and skillet cornbread.”
