[Salem, OR] The Holman Riverfront Park Hotel‘s long-awaited bar and restaurant brings “some of the Portland bar’s flair to downtown Salem,” writes the Statesman Journal.
On Mar. 27, 2023, Hilton opened the seven-story hotel. The Hilton property has 127 guestrooms and suites and is adjacent to the Salem Convention Center and Riverfront City Park. Nearby are the Oregon State Capitol and Willamette Valley Wine Country.
But what The Holman did not yet have was a restaurant and bar. It does now.
Restaurateurs Jeffrey Morgenthaler and Benjamin “Banjo” Amberg infused this restaurant with the best elements of their Pacific Standard restaurant in Portland, OR.
Willamette Week writes, “Located just off of the hotel lobby, the Salem Pacific Standard will offer customers an expanded menu with many of the popular dishes from the Portland location carrying over — think classic, upscale bar food with ingredients rooted in the West Coast. The current online menu advertises dishes like an Oregon bay shrimp roll, cedar-smoked Northwest cioppino with fresh Dungeness crab legs and clams, and a Willamette Valley pork chop served with garlic mashed potatoes and an apple-fennel slaw.”
