The Great Mr. Swindle’s Traveling Peculiarium and Drink-Ory Garden
24HourNation doesn’t know what to make of “The Great Mr. Swindle’s Traveling Peculiarium and Drink-Ory Garden.”
We just know we have to experience it before it closes in Boston on Nov. 6, 2022.
The company performs in what it describes as “an intimate traveling theater that provides a close proximity to world-class performers.” It is also referred to as “The Boutique Big Top” or “The ODD-itorium” but, from a technical standpoint, you can also just say “tent.”
In Boston, The Drink-Ory Garden will feature eccentric beer, wine and food from The Harpoon Brewery. Featured brews include the Harpoon IPA, Rec League, and “The Swindler,” an exclusive beer brewed just for the show. The Harpoon Brewery will also be serving snacks like handmade pretzels, handmade pretzel dogs, pizza, popcorn and more.
Producers add, “The show is filled with absurd comedy, acrobats, sophisticated humor, double entendres, suggestive and unusual visuals and heavy references to drinking.”
Oh, yeah … we’re buying tickets.
Or we’ll wait until it performs in Florida in January.
