Contemporary Music in NSW: Policy actions for a strong NSW music industry

Nighttime industry advocates often need to enlighten policymakers, elected officials, and political candidates.

However, we have seen too many self-important policy papers and opaque constituent guides. In today’s TL;DR* world, clear messages and simple statements are ideal.

That’s why we are impressed with this document from New South Wales. Even though it was created in collaboration and consultation with a bazillion people and groups, it gets to the point.

This is a perfect template for any advocacy effort anywhere.

Vote Music outlines the NSW music community’s vision for a better NSW – one that celebrates, supports and invests in its music, artists, and culture – and outlines a clear path to ensuring NSW is the premier music destination in Australia.
