SAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNIA. San Francisco has a new seafood restaurant in the Mission District.

Nick Anichini, previously the chef de cuisine at the Michelin three-star Atelier Crenn, has partnered with the sustainable seafood company Water2Table to open Ancora.

The halibut rack (for two) with seafood sausage and pepperonata on the a la carte menu distracted us, but we would be more likely to go all in on the prix fixe menu.

We were looking for extra incentive to take a summer side trip to San Francisco. This may have been it.
