CHICAGO, ILLINOIS: On May 6, 2022, Oliver and Nicolas Poilevey (Le Bouchon) opened Obelix in the River North neighborhood at 700 N. Sedgwick St.

Inside Hook reports that the new restaurant offers, “impressive French fare with a twist. Interesting finds include steak tartare with banh mi pickles and shio kombu, foie gras tacos with salsa macha and grape jam, and seared black cod with sweet potato, green curry, bok choy and black oyster mushrooms.

“The desserts also won’t be an afterthought,” Eater Chicago adds. “Chicago doesn’t have too many dessert bars where diners can stop by specifically for a sweet non-alcoholic nightcap. Obelix has the makings for that type of establishment.”
