SanDai and Kopi Bar
[Walnut Creek, CA] San Francisco Chronicle named SanDai as one of the eleven most anticipated spring restaurant openings.

“The Walnut Creek spot will draw diners for modern Southeast Asian meals, mostly inspired by chef Nora Haron’s roots in Singapore,” the Chronicle wrote.
The Indonesian-California fusion restaurant will offer Nusantara Californian cuisine (Nusantara, a planned city, is the future capital of Indonesia) (We had to look it up).
Dishes will include beef randang, fried tempeh, makruit lime tiger prawns, braised beets and peanut sambal, and more.
The restaurant will have indoor and outdoor seating and will be accompanied by a Kopi Bar that will serve “strong, Singaporean-style coffee roasted with buttery sugar and sipped with condensed milk, along with espresso drinks,” Haron told The Mercury News
“It’s going to be inviting and vibrant. You’ll feel like you’re in a modern take of Indonesia.”
The café called Kopi Bar opened Apr 26, 2023. SanDai opened May 3, 2023. They are located next door to each other in downtown Walnut Creek.
