TydeTate Kitchen

[Atlanta, GA] “What began as a catering company in 2019 sparked by their mother’s home cooking evolved into a Thai food stall at Chattahoochee Food Works two years later for owners Sai Untachantr and Bank Bhamaraniyama,” writes Eater Atlanta.

Now the pair have opened TydeTate Kitchen, another big milestone.

“It’s the first restaurant to open along a revitalized stretch of Mitchell Street in a block of century-old storefronts known as Hotel Row.”

We love it when restaurants go full-on Marine.

“Those classic Thai dishes Untachantr references, like basil chicken, Thai fried rice, and pad Thai, are all on the menu at the restaurant,” continues Eater. “With the larger kitchen at Hotel Row, Untachantr and Bhamaraniyama will eventually expand upon the menu to add new, more involved dishes. Untachantr says to expect more soups, street foods like chicken satay and cho muang, and papaya salad in the future.”

We just want to get our mouths around one of those curry puffs filled with curried chicken, sweet potatoes, and onions.

TydeTate Kitchen opened Apr. 15, 2023. It was the first business to go in on Atlanta’s restored Hotel Row, a block recognized by the National Register of Historic Places.
