Waikīkī Market and Piko Kitchen + Bar

Waikīkī Market marks the return of Waikiki’s only full-service, locally owned grocery store.

Waikīkī Market honors Hawai’i’s diverse food culture and heritage with locally grown and locally made offerings. The store also offers an array of locally-inspired prepared food options and traditional grocery offerings. In addition, Waikīkī Market also includes two new restaurants: Olili Waikīkī (coming soon) and Piko Kitchen + Bar.

Honolulu Magazine reports that “Piko Kitchen + Bar includes a commanding open-air bar area and cozy blue restaurant. Chef de cuisine Adam Kamahele, formerly of Kalapawai Café in Kailua, has created an all-day pau hana-style menu.

“Think oxtail boiled peanuts, ginger chicken bao buns, kalbi smashburgers and the like. These pūpū pair up with Lychee Frozés, Mixed Plate Margaritas and other new cocktails” by mixologist Hailey Berkey, former owner of The Nook Neighborhood Bistro in Puck’s Alley.

Operated by locally-owned Food Pantry, Waikīkī Market features: a large wine and spirits department, produce, meats, seafood and daily essentials.

A Food Pantry spokesman stated, “we’re proud to have the opportunity to share the foods and flavors we love here in Hawai’i with residents and visitors alike. There is something for everyone here — whether they want food to take to the beach, an easy dinner, gifts to take home, or ingredients to cook.”

Waikīkī Market and Piko Kitchen + Bar opened Jan. 11, 2023.
