Six cities or towns in Ireland will be selected as locations for a new nighttime economy pilot program.

A nighttime economy advisor will be appointed in each of the locations, with the aim of boosting the night-time economy in that area and promote a vibrant nighttime culture.

The initiative harkens back to the “Report Of The Night-Time Economy Taskforce” published last year. DOWNLOAD A PDF OF THE REPORT

The report made thirty-six recommendations in for regulation, liquor licensing, planning, transportation, safety and increasing the diversity of activities.

Selected cities will be announced this summer.
