Coachman Park

Coachman Park

It’s being referred to as the most anticipated music venue in Tampa Bay.

We should say so. Imagine Clearwater’s $84-million project will transform Coachman Park into a 24-acre urban waterfront park.

Designed to connect the waterfront and the Downtown Clearwater community, Imagine Clearwater includes an expansive park and recreational spaces, a gateway plaza and bluff walk that connects the park to downtown, a bay walk promenade overlooking the Intracoastal Waterway, a lake area with picnic shelters, and an ocean-themed play area with an interactive pop-jet water feature.

The additions to Coachman Park also include an amphitheater. It will accommodate a year-round performance schedule that promises to establish the City of Clearwater as a destination for live entertainment. The venue includes a 4,000-seat covered pavilion and space for 5,000 additional lawn seats.

The amphitheater will open Monday, Jul. 24, 2023, with the Goo Goo Dolls as they launch their The Big Night Out Tour with special guest, O.A.R. Goo Goo Dolls’ string of hits includes “Iris,” “Slide,” and “Name.” O.A.R. is known for “Shattered (Turn The Car Around),” “Peace” and “Love And Memories.”

Ruth Eckerd Hall On The Road will manage the amphitheater and tickets are available through the Ruth Eckerd Hall website.
