Arts & Culture Recovery Strategy
The Puget Sound Regional Council gathered input from 299 people who work in arts and culture in the Seattle area.
“Roughly a third of respondents indicated they were thinking about leaving the sector,” reports Crosscut. “And four in ten respondents said they were considering a change in job or location within the next year.”
King County’s Creative Economy and Recovery Director, Kate Becker, adds, “We all have to stay keenly focused on this, as we want our artists, creatives, and cultural workers to stay in this region and thrive.”
Other online comments added that this will be the challenge of the next decade for Seattle.
