In a major boost to the nighttime economy, Delhi approves more around-the-clock businesses

[India] It’s has been interesting to follow the actions of various regional governments in India. They are competing, it seems, for the nighttime economy crown.

Many coastal and high-tourism regions have been opening and expanding their nights.

Now, Delhi, India’s capital territory, has approved 24/7 operations of another lot retail businesses. This brings a total 523 shops and commercial establishments in Delhi that are now allowed to operate around-the-clock.

Citing job opportunities, ABP News reports “this development is expected to have a positive impact on both businesses and consumers alike. The extended operational hours will also provide convenience to the residents of Delhi, who can now access essential goods and services around-the-clock.”
