Sydney 24-Hour Economy Strategy (2020)
This strategy document builds on recent efforts by the Government of New South Wales to support a safe and vibrant nightlife in Sydney. It also aspires to:
- improve the way industry is regulated,
- increase business certainty and viability, and
- encourage venues that provide safe environments for patrons.
At its core, our objective is to create a 24-hour city that is world-renowned for its vibrancy, diversity, safety and access to amenities right throughout the day and night. To compete on the world stage and create jobs, we must have a fantastic after-dark experience and 24-hour amenities for all to enjoy.
